New European Bauhaus Prizes 2026 open: deadline 17 March 2026
The European Commission has officially announced the launch of the sixth edition of the New European Bauhaus Prizes (NEB Prizes) and the second edition of the NEB Boost for Small Municipalities programme. This year's edition brings significant innovations that further strengthen the focus on sustainability, inclusion and aesthetic value in the transformation of European communities, cities and rural areas. The calls are open to all innovators, young talents, communities and municipalities who want to implement projects in line with the values of the New European Bauhaus. The RIS3 Strategy 2023+ System Support Project has successfully completed its three-year operation
Prague, February 4, 2026 – The results of the three-year project System Support for the Implementation and Management of the National RIS3 Strategy 2023+ were presented at the final conference at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The project, funded by the OP JAC, brought a number of analytical, methodological and data outputs that strengthen the ability of the Czech Republic to effectively manage and coordinate its innovation policy at the national and regional levels. Creative industries engage in entrepreneurial activities: Label4Future project connects KKO and the plastics industry
The CIMIx conference in Vienna offered a number of examples of how cultural and creative industries (CCI) can fundamentally influence and innovate traditional industries. Regional RIS3 teams participate in solving societal challenges
Regional Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialization (RIS3) are not just dry, lifeless strategic documents – they connect research, education, business and public administration to address real societal challenges across Czech regions. The future grows from innovation: National RIS3 at the National Bioeconomy Congress
The third edition of the National Bioeconomy Congress confirmed the growing importance of the bioeconomy for the sustainable development of the Czech Republic. Discussions focused on the new European Strategy for the Bioeconomy, the priorities of the National RIS3 Strategy and the need to strengthen value chains and regional stability. The presented examples of good practice showed that the bioeconomy is not just a strategic vision, but already today brings concrete innovative solutions with a positive impact on the economy, society and the environment. National RIS3 team participated in the MLE on Mission Portfolio
An international meeting on “Mutual Learning Exercise on EU Missions Implementation at National Level” took place in Prague on 23-24 November 2023. Together with 17 other EU Member States, the Czech Republic participates in a series of four international workshops supported by Horizon Europe Policy Support Facility on the themes of setting up national mission management structures, mission portfolios, ensuring funding, creating synergies and engaging citizens in missions.
